About the Author- Henry Walton

Henry (7yrs old) has always loved books and loves to read, so much so that we just can not keep up with the amount of books he devours! therefore there are weekly trips to our local library to stock up on the weeks reading. This leant Henry to ask how books became to be in libraries? How did an author get his book into a library? And how could he one day get a book of his own in a library?

We are so proud to say that not only did Henry write his first book but it is now in a library!

Due to his dedication and passion to write the book, we chose to support him by using AI to create pictures for the story and then had the book printed for him. Henry decided to approach his school about his book and who have since held a book launch for him at the Book week assembly (2025), he also read the book to the Pre Primary, year 1 and Year 2 classes and they have also purchased copies to put in the school library! it is currently the most sort out book in their library!

Henry has also received recognition not only by his school, but an article in the Examiner Newspaper (Armadale edition) and also from local government leader, Mr Hugh Jones, MLA. He has also donated and read both books at his previous Kindergarten, Byford Community Kindergarten. A copy of his first book can also be found in another 3 school libraries in WA, plus countless homes here in WA, in NZ and America!

With these books, Henry hopes to inspire other kids to discover the joy of reading and creating their own stories too.

Due to his inspiration to others, passion for reading and sharing stories, and his conduct in arranging meetings with his school executive staff and teachers, Henry was nominated and won the Ann Ford Award for acts of service in the community! We couldn't be prouder of him and his achievements. But most of all how he has handled the whole process, his passion to get other children interested and excited to read or create their own stories and his dedication.

Thank you to everyone who has supported him already by purchasing a book and also for those who have sent him congratulations. We are truly grateful for your support, encouragement and kind words.
